THE SUFFOLK DOG TRAINER

Conditions of Service

Any confirmed booking requires that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the following terms and conditions.

Class Etiquette and Conditions

  • Please ensure that you arrive with plenty of time to avoid disrupting the class and to offer your dog a chance to toilet before your class begins.

  • Some dogs in the class will be less confident than others. Please be respectful of other handlers and their dogs' space. Do not approach other dogs, or allow your dog to approach, without consent from their handler.

  • If your dog is struggling or is stressed by the class environment, we will discuss this directly with you and suggest solutions. If we feel that it is in your dog's best interests to not continue with the class, we will offer you an alternative training plan.

  • Keep your dog on a lead at all times. When using a long training line, please keep hold of the end of the lead.

  • If your dog goes to the toilet in the car park, please bag it and dispose of it in the bins provided. If they have a toilet accident during the class, please let your trainer know and they will help you clean it up.

  • Your dog can wear a flat, non-tightening collar and/or a standard harness. Equipment that tightens around the dog or causes discomfort is not allowed in class. This includes, but is not limited to: prong collars, check chains, and unrestricted slip leads. Haltis and similar head harnesses are only allowed after being approved by us.

  • Please do not allow your dog to chew or otherwise damage our equipment.

  • You must notify us immediately if you or your dog is injured. We will assist with first aid as required. However, any injury to a dog is solely the responsibility of the owner.

  • Once you have been allocated a space in a class it will be reserved for you every week until you notify us of your intentions to finish classes. If you miss a class without notifying us, as per our cancellation policy, you risk losing your space in the class.

  • If you are unable to attend a class, please let us know at least 24 hours before the class. We reserve the right to charge for late cancellations and for missed classes if we are not notified.

  • Payments for classes are non-refundable.

Private 121 Training Conditions

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed private 121 consultation, we require at least 48 hours' notice. This allows us to offer the appointment to clients that are waiting for services. We reserve the right to charge for late cancellations and missed consultations.

Walking Services Conditions

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed walk, we require at least 48 hours' notice. This allows us to offer the space to clients that are waiting for services. We reserve the right to charge for late cancellations and missed walking services.

  • Payments for walks must be received in advance of the service commencing.

  • Dogs will be walked on an individual basis whilst being assessed for their suitability for a group walk. This also gives us an opportunity to get to know them and to build a relationship.

  • During excessive heat and extreme weather conditions, including red weather warnings, walks will be adjusted as necessary. We will notify you of any changes and offer alternatives.

COVID Guidelines

  • Please inform us and do not attend a class if you have the coronavirus.

  • Please be aware of others and maintain personal space at all times.

  • Hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities are available at our classes.

  • Please bring your own long line to classes if possible. We do have biothane long lines available to borrow during class. These are disinfected between uses.

  • Equipment used during classes is disinfected between uses.
